Policy Studies 208 - Conduct and Policies

Spot Checks

In the first part of the course, you can expect occasional "spot checks." The spot checks will be one or two diagnostic questions asked at the beginning of many lectures to assess how well people are keeping up with the basic concepts. Students will jot down their name and the answer on a piece of their own paper and turn in their answer before the lecture begins. These papers will not be graded in detail or returned prior to the end of the quarter; answers will be discussed briefly and immediately. These will not be difficult questions, but they will be important material. If you are keeping up, the spot checks will not be onerous.
