If you are a UCLA student, currently registered in Economics 1, Section 1, for Winter 2000, you will be emailed a password to use to gain access to the sets of readings that have been assigned to your TA's sections.
These "current events" news clippings have been gathered from the Los Angeles Times over the last couple of months exclusively for use in this assignment. The clippings will remain accessible only for the duration of the essay assignment. "Fair use" of copyrighted materials requires, at a minimum, that access be limited to members of this class and that electronic copies of the articles be destroyed upon completion of the assignment. Except for a stylesheet command, we have preserved each article with its complete context (including advertising) from the LA Times web-site.
Please do not save or print any of these articles for anything but your own use, and delete all materials by the end of the quarter. Thank you.
