Will:
I, Joseph Campbell of Parker Township in the County of Butler and State of Pennsylvania, yeoman, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this my will and tistament [testament], hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.
And, first, I direct that my body be decently interred after my death; as to my estate, as it hath pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows, viz.:
Item: I give and bequeath to my son, Cyrus Campbell, his heirs and assigns, all my estate, both real and personal and mixed estate; the real estate containing one hundred acres of land and the allowance, more or less, that I now reside on - with my whole interest of said estate.
Item: I give and bequeath to Mary Ann Campbell, my daughter, one cow, one bureau, one bedstead and bedding, six head of sheep, one set of chairs - to be common chairs, one table-to be the same, and one full set of queensware; the bedstead and bedding and bureau are to be the same that is in the house, now, that the said Mary Ann Campbell claims, and the said Mary A. Campbell is to get all those articles when she calls on them; the said cow and sheep is to have pasture through the summer seasons - the same as Cyrus Campbell's own stock, and I order that Cyrus Campbell shall find and provide fodder for the said cow and six head of sheep through the winters - the same as he gives his own cows and sheep as long as the said Mary A. Campbell remains unmarried and sees proper to live in said house. I also give and bequeath to my daughter, Mary Ann Campbell, one room downstairs in the North end of my house that I now reside in for her own individual use, so long as she remains unmarried and not to be used by any other person by, over, or under her. At her marriage or death, or if she leaves, the room falls to the said Cyrus Campbell and, further, I also allow the said Mary A. Campbell what fruit she wants for her own use and to dry what she wants for her own individual use while she stays there and I also allow her a part of the garden to work and raise things for her own individual use, so long as she remains in said house; it being one fourth part of the garden that is enclosed at the present time.
I, also, order Cyrus Campbell to keep and give Mary Campbell, my beloved wife, a comfortable living while she lives and a decent burial at her death.
I hereby appoint my son, Cyrus Campbell, my sole executor of this my last will and testamint [testament].
In witness, whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day November one thousand eight hundred sixty-eight.

NOTE:
Joseph, son of John and Ann (Christy) Campbell, has varying dates. At one time Lisa, Audrey, and I had different dates for Joseph's birth and death. [Actually there were five different ones for his birth!]
Finally we decided to agree that the year, 1875, was his death date. The above deposition by Cyrus, the youngest son of Joseph, has his death 'about the 13th day of June A.D. 1875;' his tombstone looks like it might be 16 June 1875.

Lisa Porter-Burt relates the following: Here is what is "known" from family histories: Andrew Christy married about 1743 to Mary Margaret Wilson. About 1762 Andrew Christy came from northern Ireland, bringing his family [including Ann] with him, and settled in central PA, on leaving Ulster; the family took ship in Londonderry. He and family remained in central PA for some five or six years, but before the Revolutionary War he came to Beaver Run, Westmoreland Co. near the town of Salem (Delmont), and sons, James and John, bought farms there. Andrew Christy lived in Tuscarora Valley before moving to Westmoreland. Buried in Lessig Cemetery. He was born at Garvaugh, Derry, N.Ireland.1 He died after 1790 at WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA.
