The parish was St.Kevin, but St.Peter was united with it in 680 and the union became know as "The Parish and Vicaraoe of St.Peter.

Family came to Philadelphia in 1742 Church affiliation: Presbyterian Seseders [sic]. Came to America in 1742 with his family.1
Will: Mar 12, 1787. Allegheny Co. PA: Mentions wife Elizabeth, children Hugh, James, William, Robert. Grandchildren: Henry Kenedy [sic], son of Hugh, Sarah Sill, d/o George Sill. Sons [-in-law]: James Regan, George Sill. Signed with his mark. Witnesses: Henry Westlay, John Laird, Margaret Elliott.

William Kennedy lived at the fork of the Youghiogheny and Monongehela rivers from some time before August 18, 1773 until his death. The land was surveyed on a warrant applied for in the name of Mary Creigh, June 14 1767 or 69. His will provided for half of his land to go to his grandson Henry Kennedy, a son of Hugh and the other half to granddaughter Sarah Sill. When he died the land covered 100 acres (evidence: Henry sold his land comprising 50 acres). Originally there was about 300 acres. The 1783 Transcript of Taxables in Rostraver Twp. Westmoreland Co. lists Robert, William Sr., Hugh and William Jr. at 100 acres each (thus 400 acres) with inhabitants of 2, 2, 0, and 7 respectively. But Hugh apparently got none. He was not living on the land for which he is taxed here, and the 1858 history refers to William Sr. setting up William Jr. "up well to the exclusion of my grandfather," perhaps referring to this. (Francis C. Rockefeller synthesized this information; he surmises that William was living in Cumberland Co. before 1773.
William acquired the land from John Creigh in 1773, following a mortgage arrangement (which carried his mark, not his signature). (George Sill was a witness to the deed). William was living on the land at the time.
The land later became Lincoln Twp. in Allegheny Co. In 1796 it was known as "Forks of the Yough" and had about 600 people living there. According to History of Allegheny County (A. Warren & Co. 1889, p. 84), heads of families in 1790 included "James Canada, John Canada, Martin Canada, William Canada, Hugh Canada, David Finley, (other Finney).

Mortgage: William Kennedy, farmer, of Westmoreland Co. to John Creigh of Carlisle, Cumberland Co. Bound for L45 15s PA currency conditioned for payment of L22 17s 6d due 22 Dec. 1774. Land: 300 acres with buildings improvements at the for ofthe Youghiogheny and Monogahela in Westmoreland Co. on which William Kennedy dwells. This property was originally conveyed to Mary Creigh by survey 14 June 1769, and conveyed to John Creigh 4 jan 177? Witness Henry Smail. William KENNEDY was born after 1690 at Charlesont, Ireland.
