     Nancy Dill RUSSELL married Robert P. ALLISON, son of Jane (?). Nancy Dill RUSSELL was buried at Pleasant Valley Presbyterian, Cherry Twp., Butler County, PA. 1860 Census lists her, aged 41, with George Allison, aged 47 (or 48), with children: Nathaniel Kerr, Eliza N. Charles C., James R., and Martha J. She was born on 19 April 1819 at Pennsylvania. She died in October 1906 at age 87.

     Robert RUSSELL was buried at Fetterman Cem, Oakland Twp, Venango, PA. He was born on 5 September 1808. He died on 23 July 1849 at age 40.

Samuel was born in 1780 in Butler county, Pa, where his parents had lived previous to their settlement in Venango county. In 1824 he settled upon a farm where his son, David now lives, on the Allegheny river, one mile northeast of Emlenton. He married Margaret Thompson who bore him five children: James, Christina Ann, Isabella, Mary, and David. His wife died in 1810 and he married Rachel Haggerty, by whom he had four children: James, John, Thomas, and Margaret. On the death of his second wife he married Betsey McAfee, to whom four children were born: Caleb, Samuel, Jane, and matthew B. Samuel Russell, Sr., was a lieutenant in a company from Butler county in the war of 1812.      William P. RUSSELL was buried at Muddy Creek Pres, Clay Twp., Butler County, PA. He was born on 22 September 1805. He married Elizabeth McCANDLESS, daughter of Robert M. McCANDLESS and Jane McCANDLESS, on 15 July 1828 at Muddy Creek Pres, Clay Twp, Butler County, PA. William P. RUSSELL died on 24 February 1893 at age 87.

     Lydia Jane SHAW was employed. She was born on 27 December 1916 at Uniontown, PA. She died on 23 November 1998 at age 81.

She is the subject of a famous story concerning being captured by the Indians after her husband was killed in 1756. She was born in 1717 at Fermagh, Tyrone, Ireland. She married John WASSON circa 1744. Nancy Ann MEANS died after 1772 at Mercersburg, Franklin, PA.

Joseph probably had two children who died before maturity, as it will be noted that in 1783 he was taxed for eight in his family, which would indicate the presence of six children.

He married Elizabeth McCORD circa 1692 at Fermanagh, Tyrone, Ireland. John MEANS died in 1739 at Makefield Twp., Bucks, PA.

     Mary Margueritte (Mary Margaret) Palia VON SCHRILTZ married James KENNEDY, son of Henry KENNEDY and Sarah Ann SILL. Mary Margueritte (Mary Margaret) Palia VON SCHRILTZ was employed. Served as a private under Capt. Patrick Jack, 1778-81-82. Robert was the son of William Sloan and wife Ann Means, William dying in Peters Twp. prior to 1750. They had issue: John Sloan: William mar Francis Nesbit; Robert (above) mar. Mary McBrayer and Jane mar. William Oats. The widow, Ann Means Sloan, mar. 2nd John Wason, who was killed by Indians in 1756, and his wife taken captive. They had Thomas; James; Elizabeth. The above Robert Sloan moved to Westmoreland Co., Penna., and his will, dated 1812, prob., 1816, names dau. Susannah Sloan; son John Sloan; Ann; Elisabeth; Susannah; Mary; John; Dau. Ann Cowden's children; dau. Elizabeth McCle?on; dau. Mary Cowden; son-in-law John Sloan of Bedford Co, Penna. and my son John Sloan of Westmoreland Co., Penna. Under Votes of Assembly, Nov. 10, 1860, is a bill for five ounds, "Ann Wasden (Wasson) to take her to Conococheague." In 1769, Ann was living with Jane and William Oats. 1783, and some old papers are in possession of a descendant. One John Sloan was in Shippensburg in 1733.

     Elizabeth DAVIS was Lib. She was born on 24 March 1848. She married Robert McDowell McCALL, son of William Wasson McCALL and Emma Amy McCANDLESS, on 15 March 1889. Elizabeth DAVIS died on 19 July 1918 at age 70.

     Annabelle (Ann) WASSON was employed. Will dated Sept 29, 1836, filed Feb. 22, 1838. She was born on 10 July 1787 at Butler, Butler County, PA. She married John THOMPSON before 1810. Annabelle (Ann) WASSON married John ADAMS circa 1824. Annabelle (Ann) WASSON died on 23 October 1870 at Centre Twp., Butler Co, PA, at age 83.
