There are clues that her father's name is either Samuel or William. Mary PORTER was born in 1734. She married Joseph STIRLEN in 1767 at Westmoreland, PA. Mary PORTER died on 25 August 1822 at Derry, Westmoreland, PA. She was buried after 25 August 1822 at Old Salem Cemetery, Derry, Westmoreland, PA.

     Rebekah PORTER married William GLENN, son of James GLENN and Jennet STERLING. Rebekah PORTER was buried at Concord Presbyterian Church, Hooker, Butler County, PA.¹ She was born on 21 August 1802. She died on 23 September 1890 at Butler, Butler County, PA, at age 88.

     Father's obit gives his address as Cordett, OK. Olac Clyde ALLISON died on 29 May. He was born on 21 November 1885 at Pennsylvania.

     Sarah Jane SCOTT was buried at Bear Creek Ceme, Fairview Twp, Butler County, PA. She was born in 1822. She died in 1925.

     John Claude ALLISON was buried at Pleasant Valley, West Sunbury, Butler County, PA. Birth and death from tombstone. He was born on 27 November 1883 at Pennsylvania. He died on 17 June 1919 at age 35; John Claude Allison, son of Charles S & Mary Jane Allison (10/27/1883 - 06/17/1919) shot himself with a rifle on the homestead. One of the Older Residents of the City Passes Away Early Tuesday Morning-Funeral Wednesday Afternoon.

Although she had been ill for a long time and in a critical condition, the "news of the death of Mrs. M. J. Hodge at 1:30, Tuesday morning, was shock to the people of the city and community.

Mrs. Hodge had been ill for about a year, and for the past two months had been confined to her home. Her indomitable spirit and wonderful will power kept her up on her feet and about the home when many people would have succumbed and been practically helpless. For only two or three days before her death was she really confined to her bed. And now death has come, and the tired body is at rest.

Mrs. Hodge had lived in Sterling since the early seventies. Her husband, Dr. C. W. Hodge, was the first doctor in Rice county. She has been active in club work and in society ever since coming to Sterling. She was a charter member. of Chapter W, P. E. 0., in which she took great pride and was a valued member. At the time of her death, she was an member of Sobals, in which club she was a very active member for a number of years.

One son, C. B. Hodge, is left to survive a devoted and good mother. The daughter-in-law, Mrs. C. B. Hodge, and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane Hodge, are the only surviving members of the deceased's Family.

Funeral services will be held this Wednesday afternoon, November 23, at 4:00 o'clock from the home of F. C. Porter. Dr. A. E. Kirk, pastor of the M. E. church, will conduct the services. Burial will be made in the family lot in Sterling Community Cemetery.

STERLING - Alice Roy Hodge died Sunday at the Lyons District Hospital. Born at Sterling, she married Charles Boyd Hodge April 1911 at Sterling. He died May 26, 1946. She was a lifetime area resident.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Hutchinson; P. E.O., Daughters of American Revoution, both of Sterling.

Mrs. Elizabeth Gast, well known' Wichita business woman, died yesterday evening at her home in the Crescent apartments from a heart attack.
For the past 20 years Mrs. Gast was a member of the staff of the internal revenue department. She came to Wichita 20 years ago from Sterling, Kan., where she was born and reared. Her husband, Dr. Earl Gast of Kansas City, died in 1918.
Survivors include: Mrs. M. C. Roy, Sterling; her mother; three sisters, Mrs. C. B. Hodge, Mrs. Howard Chennell and Miss Edith Roy, all of Sterling; an aunt, Mrs. F . P. Green and a cousin, Lillian Grant, reside in Wichita.
Funeral services and burial will be at Sterling.
