Use this list to create a table of relevant information. Number of rows
equals to number of websites. Number of columns should be four with the
following categories: Names of Organizations; URLs; Brief Description of
site; Analyses. Please see example of website-topic
main page. Also, make sure you have made all necessary changes before
uploading this page. You can check by viewing the Check-off
List.
-
Students are responsible to contact other students to get their analyses
of the main websites. This could be done by email or the other students
handing in a disk. Please see handout of list of students and their sites.
-
How to begin to analyze your site
-
Description of what the site is: Who are the people behind this
site? What are their objectives? What is your focused topic?
-
Analysis of this site in context to contestations of sexualities:
How does this site fit into our critical framework of contested sexualities?
What perspective is it coming from? How does it legitimate its position
and deviantize/marginalize its opponents, if any (for some sites, you can
see list of links to its allies and enemies)? How successful do you think
of its strategies? (see website
project guideline for a more completed list of questions)
-
What are some of the relevant assigned readings to help you better
understand this site.
-
Comparison among these organizations: How does this organization
relate to other organizations?
