Not all core subject areas are represented. Areas that already use data analysis quite extensively (such as social stratification) are omitted as are areas where the use of data analysis might be less appropriate (such as self and society).
The subject links include examples of several different types of resources.
- We have tried to include data bearing on currently contested topics and problems that faculty can use in preparing their lectures or class assignments. In some cases, we have created original tables and graphs ourselves, and we provide links to other sites with existing resources that we found useful. We have tried to include resources that encourage discussion, that allow multiple points of view, and that can be combined easily with existing lecture materials.
- We also provide sample assignments for students, often at several levels of difficulty. When appropriate, we have included an answer key.
- We list links to course syllabi in that area.
