SYLLABI ON THE INTERNET You'll find below a terrific list of diplomatic history syllabus links, part of the Sarantakes website (whose other features will be discussed later in the guide). I don't know of anything equivalent for the political scientists, but I'm including here some excellent syllabi that I downloaded off of the web, along with some other material. In particular, you'll see lists of history and political science departments, and U.K. universities. Those lists will enable you to search for other syllabi on your own. Just go into departmental websites, check course listings and lists of instructors (often identified by field); when you click into the links for specific courses and instructors, you'll often be given further links for syllabi and course websites. You also do a search for specific professors who specialize in the areas you're interested in on various institutions' search engines; this often turns up syllabi that cannot be found via departmental websites. Syllabi are of course useful for many purposes. If you ever have to teach a course, other people's syllabi are obviously very nice to have as a point of departure.
