A withdrawal sheet from the Norstad Papers at the Eisenhower Library showing what's been released as a result of MR's researchers have filed. This collection had just been processed when I visited the Eisenhower Library in January 1989. I xeroxed a whole bunch of these withdrawal sheets from the Norstad Papers and from other collections at the DDEL as well. I turned them over to the National Security Archive, which coordinated a very vigorous and effective MR and FOIA campaign to get documents of this sort released. Judging from the fact that the MR date given for the sanitized documents was 1989, I think that some of the releases noted on this sheet resulted from that campaign. The documents crossed out have been declassified in full (with the date of declassification given); the sanitized documents are the ones marked "portions exempted"--the phrase generally got a little truncated in the xeroxing--and are available in part. Often they are only lightly sanitized, and are certainly worth looking at. The word "have" in the extreme right in my marking, and simply indicates I already have a copy of the document in question, which I got from some other source.
