44. The Blanchard Trophy is the grand prize at the Olympic
Arena proficiency contest for missile crews, held yearly at Vandenberg
Air Force Base. Thirty awards are bestowed in the individual competitions
such as targeting, missile handling, aligning to vertical and firing. The
overall winners are sometimes further honored if the mayor of their base
town declares Olympic Arena Day.
