Previous EITM Institutes


Previous EITM institutes have been conducted at Harvard, Michigan, Duke, and Berkeley.

The Summer Institute on EITM at the University of California, Los Angeles is the sixth EITM institute. The institutes are conducted with the support of a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

The 2002 EITM I institute was co-hosted by the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (former Center for Basic Research in the Social Sciences (CBRSS)) of Harvard University, led by James Alt.

The 2003 EITM II institute was co-hosted by the Center for Political Studies at the Institute of Social Research and the Department of Political Science, the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, led by Robert Franzese.

The 2004 EITM III institute was hosted by the Political Science Department at Duke University, led by John Aldrich.

The 2005 EITM IV institute was hosted by The Survey Research Center, UC DATA (University of California Data Archive and Technical Assistance), and the Political Science Department at the University of California, Berkeley, led by Henry Brady.

The 2006 EITM V was co-hosted by the Center for Political Studies at the Institute of Social Research and the Department of Political Science, the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, led by Robert Franzese.
