Scholarship Summary

As an undergraduate or graduate student in college, you may be eligible to receive an ROTC scholarship that will pay your full college tuition or room and board, on or off campus (up to the cost of tuition), a tax-free allowance up to $500/month, and an additional $900/year for books and fees while you pursue your regular college degree. Additionally, UCLA gives priority class enrollment to all Military Science Scholarship recipients. If you do not elect to receive a scholarship, you will still receive up to $500 a month in tax free allowances. All scholarship and non-scholarship benefits are applicable at any college or university in the Los Angeles area while you attend Army ROTC training on the UCLA or California State University Northridge campus.

Department Scholarship Benefits
Full-tuition scholarship, regardless of state residency status

Up to $500 per month in tax free allowances

Department Non-Scholarship Benefits
Up to $4,500 per year in tuition assistance from the Reserve or California National Guard
Up to $500 per month in tax free allowances
Up to $300 in one weekend per month training pay

Additional Benefits for Students with Prior Military Experience
Montgomery G.I. Bill (MGIB) benefits in addition to the scholarship and non-scholarship benefits
Non-scholarship veterans also earn the "MGIB Kicker" worth an additional $350 per month
