Table Definitions


Although you have a general idea about your research topic, when searching for data you should keep in mind some general concepts. Try to think about your topic in terms of the population to be studied, the geographic area being covered, and the time period.

Geography 1) Physical areas 2) Government Units 3) Political Boundaries 4) Other Units (school districts... etc.)
Time Current Historical
Population May be able to describe sample via: gender, age, race, ethnicity
Context Type of research you want to conduct will determine how you make data into useable information.
