Tony Hull

Tony Hull has led mapping activities for Rock Art Archive surveys at Little Lake, Lavic Lake and Foxtrot, California. Educated as an astronomer at the University of Pennsylvania, he is co-investigator of a survey, conducted with astronomical intent, in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico.

As a participant in the UCLA Certificate Program in Archaeology, he has been trained in rock art documentation under Jo Anne Van Tilburg. He investigates the boundary conditions imposed by historic, ethnographic, astronomical, spatial patterning and archaeological data upon the interpretation of rock art. Further relevant interests include the application of GIS as a resource management tool, and application of statistical spatial analysis to associations of early habitation, environment and rock art distributions.
