Collection Contents: 8 Vols. in Bookcase E containing sketches, copies of sketches and other documentation used to prepare figures in the book; 10 boxes (S-49 to S-58) in Bookcase H of 45 mm color slides, some of poor quality. Sites documented are primarily in CA, OR, UT, WA and Canada. See Loring Digital Record in CD Box 2, in which a portion of a very large and deteriorating collection of petroglyph rubbings on cloth, made in the 1970s or earlier, has been digitally photographed and filed by A. Kopp, G. Hull and UCLA Rock Art Archive staff. Rubbings not digitally photographed are in Storage, CIOA.

The materials in this collection are primarily those used to prepare Pictographs & Petroglyphs of The Oregon Country (Monograph XXIII. Los Angeles: UCLA Institute of Archaeology, 1983).
