AIDS Walk Los Angeles October 21, 2007

This year, HGSA has decided to participate in the AIDS Walk Los Angeles. In addition to getting out, stretching our legs, enjoying the sunshine, and taking in tens of thousands of glamorous people and sites in West Hollywood, we hope to raise money and awareness for HIV/AIDS through our participation.

If you would like to join in this great event - or if you have questions - please e-mail Ann Marie Davis (PhD Candidate, Japanese history) at amldavis@ucla.edu. Online registration is also available at the AIDS Walk website. Remember to indicate that you are on the UCLA HGSA team.

If you cannot participate in the walk, but would like to support the HGSA team, your donations, of course, are always welcome. They can be submitted via our team web page by simply clicking here, or to donate the traditional way, just get in touch Ann Marie.

By the way, the walk will be 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and take roughly 2-3 hours to complete. Our plans are to meet at 8:15 am at UCLA on the day of the event, have breakfast (provided by HGSA!) and caravan over to the walk.

The money raised by AIDS Walk Los Angeles supports the services provided by the AIDS Project Los Angeles in addition to other benefiting organizations representing the entire spectrum of HIV/AIDS services.

Hope to see you at the walk!
