The Trial of Ford Lord Grey of
Werk provides material for Aphra Behn's epistolary novel Love-Letters
Between a Nobleman and His Sister, which was completed in the fall
of 1683 and published in 1684. The trial itself was held on 23 November
1682 and the transcript was published soon afterwards. The surviving version
came out a generation later, in 1716.
