Stacey oversees the day-to-day operations of the Asian American Studies Department.  She deals primarily with the Department’s academic personnel issues, budget, and accounts.  Stacey also coordinates the Department’s course schedule, assists with curriculum, and supports the Chair of the Department.  She is a back-up for Celisse (on staff hiring and personnel issues) and Kehaulani (on student affairs issues).

Barrett processes hiring, payroll, and departmental reimburesements and assists the MSO and Chair. He provides faculty support, and coordinates departmental meetings and events.

The Student Affairs Officer counsels undergraduate and graduate students on academic issues, and advises students on applying to graduate schools and assists with Asian American Studies admissions and awards.

This position is currently vacant. Beginning August 19th, 2008, Stacey Hirose will fill in as the Interim Student Affairs Officer until the position is filled.

Meg coordinates internships and volunteer work with off-campus Asian American and Pacific Islander American  community organizations.  She mentors Asian and Pacific Islander American student organizations at UCLA.  She also advises students on the Asian American Studies Center's scholarships and fellowships.
