ACADEMIC ADVISING for the Asian American Studies minor, major, and Master of Arts programs:


Our Student Affairs Officer position is currently vacant. Appointment scheduling will be temporarily on hold until August 19th, at which point Stacey Hirose will fill in as the Interim Student Affairs Officer until the position is filled. 

If you need to speak with an advisor prior to August 19th, please contact the College Academic Counseling Office at A316 Murphy Hall for general counseling.

Beginning August 19th, please follow these instructions to schedule an appointment:

Email advising@asianam.ucla.edu for appointments.  Include the following:
Name
Student ID Number
Phone number
Three appointment times

IMPORTANT!
When requesting an appointment, be sure to
SPECIFY THE REASON FOR MEETING THE COUNSELOR IN THE EMAIL SUBJECT LINE,
for example, "Declaring AAS Major," "Choosing AAS Classes," or "Exploring Minor Options."   (The spam filter will delete emails that do not have a subject line
or that simply state "appointment.")

Do NOT send counseling questions to the advising email address.  This email address is used to make appointments ONLY.  Instead, email the counseling assistant with questions.
