Joseph H. Manson

Professor

I study the social behavior of both nonhuman primates and humans. My primatological interests include mate choice and mate competition, social learning, intergroup aggression, female-female social relationships, grooming patterns and infant handling. Since 2007 I have been studying how humans conduct “small talk” with strangers.
