Fourth Assignment: Jazz markets and aesthetic tensions

PART ONE: Use your class (ethnographic) notes to summarize Professor Burrell's position on the three music markets identified by Dave Laing. (5 points). PART TWO: Discuss similarities and differences between Jeff Pressing's view of the tensions in jazz aesthetics and the notion of an aesthetics of tensions used in the article by Duranti and Burrell. (5 points).
