Assignment 3
  1. Review the articles by Whorf for this week, the hand-out and your notes and using the two grammatical sketches of Hopi I handed out in class (and whatever other material you might find relevant), try to characterize the particular way in which Whorf discussed grammar (e.g. grammatical categories necessary for analysis), paying particular attention to both his conventional and his unconventional conceptualizations vs. other grammarians. (You might want to pair up with someone else in the class for this assignment)
