ASSIGNMENTS
Class Project Committee Assignment
(Due by Jan. 27)
This assignment is due by Friday, Jan. 27. Each student will choose one of the four class project committees, and each class committee will meet by our next class session on Friday, Jan. 27. At the committee’s first meeting, students should first do an activity to get to better know each other, and next brainstorm about the work of the committee, and then develop a rough list of committee tasks and a timeline for accomplishing these tasks. Each committee should have one or two persons send the following information to the instructor: 1) list of students in the committee, 2) rough list of committee tasks, and 3) rough timeline for accomplishing these tasks.
Can we also get one person from our class to volunteer to create an email listserve for announcements and other information? The volunteer would set up the listserve and then serve as “administrator” for it (essentially collecting the email addresses of participants). Note: it is not required for all students from our class to join this listserve, but it is encouraged. Since our class only meets once a week, the listserve will help students share information outside of class meetings. The listserve will serve as a resource for students to share information about upcoming political tours. It will also serve as a resource for students in one committee to know what is happening in other committees. Students can also use the listserve to post information about other campus and community events. I will also post reminders about assignments on the listserve. |
